The Taiping Clock Tower, build in 1890. The British Colonial style building is about 4 stories high, with a signature Rooster win vane on the top of the building. The clock tower originated from a wooden police station build in 1881. Over the century, the building was used as a police station, fire station, merchant exchange, auction center and more. During the second world war, Japanese invader use the building as their torture center. Today the clock tower operate as a tourist information center. Is a must visit location when travel to Taiping.
